Ben Forbes is a Partner at the firm, focusing his practice on business law, real estate law, and land use matters throughout Schuylkill County and Central Pennsylvania. ​Business Law & Entity Formation

Attorney Forbes assists clients with all aspects of business formation and operation, including entity creation and dissolution, shareholder and operating agreements, business financing, contract drafting, review, and negotiation, professional licensing, succession planning, and business and asset purchases and sales. He also guides clients through industry-specific regulatory compliance, including liquor license transfers and residential contractor regulations.

​Nonprofit Organizations

In addition to his for-profit business clients, Attorney Forbes assists nonprofit organizations with formation, IRS tax-exemption applications, and ongoing governance matters. He regularly advises nonprofit boards on contracts, personnel issues, regulatory compliance, and liquor license management.

​Real Estate & Land Use

Attorney Forbes represents clients in a broad range of residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate transactions. His work includes sales and purchases, due diligence, subdivision and land development, zoning hearings, easement drafting, title and boundary disputes, seller-financed transactions, conservation easements, leasing, and property tax assessment appeals. He frequently appears before local zoning hearing boards and assists clients in obtaining subdivision and land development approvals.

Attorney Forbes also works closely with real estate investors and farm owners, providing counsel on succession planning, financing, and farm preservation easements.

Community Involvement & Leadership

Committed to serving his community, Attorney Forbes is a Board Member of the Schuylkill United Way, Solicitor to the Schuylkill County Recorder of Deeds, and an active member and event MC for the Orwigsburg Business and Professional Association (OBPA).

He also serves as a guest lecturer on business entity formation and commercial real estate acquisition for programs including the Pottsville Area Development Corporation’s Launch Pottsville Program, the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce’s Ignite Schuylkill program, the Penn State Small Business Development Center, and Penn State Schuylkill’s LionLaunch.
